Iphone OS 3.1.2 update released...

The new Iphone OS 3.1.2 is released yesterday for all generations of Iphones. It is a pretty huge 241 MB download but there are no new features included into this version. Instead there are a few fixes for some bugs and Apple says there are urgently required for your safety.

* Resolves Sporadic issue that may cause iphone to not wake from sleep. * Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart. * Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming.

You can download it by connecting your iphone to the itunes software and that's it, you are ready to fix some bugs reported by Apple.

Here is the new X-series Sony Vaio from Sony and it was unveiled in an event in New York City. They are going to cost you a cool $1300 but there are lot of justifications for that price. It is made up of carbon fibre and guess what it is the lightest weighing notebook ever made at a cool 1.6 pounds. Of course this is unbelievable but you have to believe me on this.

Not just that but this beauty is equipped with a 2 GHz atom processor and they are now running Windows 7 Operating system which is a WOW! It also sports a 2GB ram and 128 GB solid state drive along with a 11.1" widescreen display. You can also extend the regular battery to a 14 hour long working battery.

As I mentioned yesterday that Google is working on some new functionality with its homepage, it came out to be true and it is widespread now. From Yesterday morning Google homepage is minimalistic to the extreme. In the morning itself, I experienced this approach of Google.

I don't know what good is this function gonna do to Google except for some graphic work that might slow it down while loading or it might be the one that helps in faster loading of the page, I seriously don't know what's happening. Your comments are always welcome...

Dr. Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, aged 58, who is a structural biologist by profession has been awarded with the most prestigious Nobel Prize in the field of Chemistry. Venky had his early education in the states of Tamil Nadu and Gujarat and then he has moved over to the United States to pursue his goals and now there he is standing tall with the Noble Prize.

I am proud that an Indian born has won the prize but I am a bit sad that he isn't from India right now nor were he nominated from India. It's ok but still he is Indian by nature, I guess. Achieving such a prestigious award is less to none. He is receiving this award for his work on proteins that control life. Congrats Mr. Venkatraman.

Someone was telling me today about their new catch. Whenever you get a chance, go to the Yahoo search homepage and if you can see the exclamatory mark that ends the Yahoo logo. Try and locate the dot in the exclamatory mark and click exclusively on it. You will hear the dot screaming out "Yahooooooooo"!!! in a sweet lady voice.

Google Fading Homepage - Minimalistic to the extreme...

Google is said to be testing out the new functionality of minimalizing its homepage to the extreme. They are said to be testing out a new fading in functionality(don't know why?) for their home page of Google Search. You will now be seeing just the google Logo and the search box. You can no more see the "Google Search" button or the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. These buttons are dropped from this experimental new Google Home page design.

This is said to be just an experiment and can't say if they stick to the same design. But there is this functionality where-in these buttons will return back when you move the mouse. Just check it in the video above.

Slowly but steadily Google Chrome is winning hearts of net users. It is now targeting the areas where Firefox has been dominant and trying to master the trade. One such move is made yesterday and it involves Google Chrome 3, which comes with themes that you can download and install. Now they have intro-ed a new section called Themes by Artists.

This new addon to Google Chrome is such a cool thing. Its more like the themes addon for Firefox but here it is something different as you don't need to go to some other section and download them and install them. Chrome does all this for you and you can enjoy freely all the themes available. When you just press the "Apply Theme" button below the themes, Chrome automatically downloads the theme and installs it for you.

If you are in a doubt about how to access the themes in your Chrome browser, first update your browser to chrome 3.0 and then go to the tools section on the top right corner and then go to the "options" field and then select "Personal stuff" tab and in there you will find the "Get Themes" button. Upon clicking this button you will be directed to the themes page where you can play around.

It looks more like a big ipod than an offer letter to me. What's common between an ipod and an apple job offer letter. They are white in color, they have an Apple logo on them and both of them will drag you into the closely knit Apple family. That's where the comparison ends.

But seriously guys just look at the job offer letter, it is soooooo boring. Of course, I heard that the pay checks are pretty heavy out there. If the checks are heavy, who cares how good looking is an offer letter.

Nature's fury in INDIA....

These are the heart paining pictures from the state of Andhra Pradesh, India, where the floods in one river has caused havoc everywhere and left lakhs of people homeless and killed hundreds of them. Crores of paddy fields and agricultural lands have now become cemetery grounds for the dead animals and humans. Still the floods aren't under control but a large part of it is over now.

This is just a picture of how nature can show its fury on mere human soles. This is just to show how unpredictable nature can be and how dangerous it can be. May all the souls of the dead Rest In Peace. May the almighty be with those who lost their near and dear. Hope those people stay strong.

HTC mobiles debut on AT&T with WINdows Mobile 6.5 ...

At&t is tasting its first flavor of Windows Mobile 6.5 with two unique mobiles from HTC, namely HTC Pure and Htc Tilt 2. The HTC pure on the left sports a 3.2 inch WVGA full touchscreen display and also a 5 megapixel autofocus camera. The Tilt 2 is slightly bigger version with a 3.6 inch display(WVGA), also comes with a qwerty keyboard and is equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera.

The HTC Pure is available as of now with a contract for a cool $149.99 and the Tilt will make its way in the coming weeks and will be priced around $299.99. Both these prices are coming your way only after a $50 rebate.

This picture is taken in one of those electronics stores in Chicago and the photographer was gracious enough to share this pic with us through engadget. Back up your cds/dvds and stay safe...

Basically you use the cds and dvd media for backing up your files or just for file transfer. But if you have some serious stuff with you and if you need to save those files, then you seriously need to consider backing them up. The best method to back up according to me is cd/dvd backup. I don't feel secure with those external hard drives, because if there is some slight problem with a hard drive that measures upto 1 TB, then the whole bunch of files will be damaged and in most cases, there won't be any hope for retrieval.

Ok now the best chance for you is cd/dvd media. But do you know that if you are not using this kinda media for a while or if they are stored in a dusty place or in open air, they are susceptible to damage or wear and tear. This means you need to do back ups again and again. That's the only headache with them. But this is the best method I believe. Make your data safe and live happily...

Youtube down for maintenance...

Usually I am a big fan of youtube and all my video and music hunger is quenched by the illegal, copyright infringed videos of Youtube. As usual, today I tried to access some video song on youtube and when I searched for it, there was some error as the required search wasn't returned. Even when I clicked on one of the videos, I couldn't access anyone of them and I was worried if something was wrong with my system.

What actually happened was there was some maintenance going on in Youtube and that's the reason why I couldn't access any of those videos. Generally Youtube does informs in advance of a scheduled maintenance but not this time. Don't know why, may be I missed it.

It was five months back that Samsung has announced its new touchscreen phone Giorgio Armani W8200 and now the pics and specs of this phone are leaking out slowly but steadily as always from the Korean markets where the phone is rumored to be shipped first.

This new phone from Samsung is equipped with a 3.1 " AMOLED touchscreen and it also sports a slide-out hardware keyboard for your texting purposes. It also sports a DMB tv tuner, bluetooth, 5-megapixel camera and an external micro-sd slot for those memory hungry guys. No details emerged whether the device supports wi-fi and also about the internal storage allowed. Shipping dates and price of this device are still under the wrap.

Previously it was rumored that this device is gonna come with Windows Mobile OS but it is now confirmed that there is no Windows OS and this device ships with a native Samsung OS.

pdf to doc converter pro - Slightly reviewed!!!

PDF to doc converter Pro is a new innovative converter edition referred by a friend of mine. Just was trying to get a feel of it. I actually downloaded the free trial version of this software which weighed a cool 16.4 MB and I have tested it on my laptop. They claim that you can convert PDF files to doc, html, txt, xls, jpeg and lot other formats.

I used a pdf document of one page length and tested this software. The best part about this software is that there is no blot or crap that is associated with this installer like "plz install yahoo toolbar or make google your home page" or something like that. One more thing is that it comes with a pdf printer along with it, which I think is pretty cool. Also the conversion of the file went just like a snap.

What's most annoying about this software is that the trial version is capable of converting pdf files which are not more than 3 pages length. If they exceed that length you end up on the losing side. Also when you convert a pdf to doc file then you will be left with surprises. Your converted doc file will sport a big tag of this software asking you to get the full version. You can't remove that tag at any cost.

The full version of this software will cost you $39.90 for the standard version and $69.90 for the Pro version, which I believe is a very high asking price when there are lot others of free software available around with almost similar capabilities. Today is an auspicious day for a whole nation, an important day for 100 crore Indians, a significant day for millions of people round the world. It's the birthday of a very very important person called sweetly as "BAPU" aka father of the nation aka Mahatma, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Born on 2nd October, 1869 he is one guy whom a whole nation considers above God and his statues erected in every nook and corner of the country resemble their love for his eternal soul.

Google's Apps Status Dashboard - Just a share...

Google has provided an Dashboard for it's Apps, which indicates more or less the health reports of it's major Apps. This has come in the wake of Gmail's failure to launch on 26th of February. Though the problem was there just for few hours but it still affected a lot of users. Hence, this comes as a welcome gesture from Google to let it's users know the status of some important apps like Gmail, Spreadsheets, Calendar, Sites, etc.

Last week there was some problem with Gmail and I was first among those who discussed about the Gmail Outage and they have immediately updated on this apps dashboard regarding the issue and cleared it off pretty soon. Way to go Google.

Flying with the birds - Oh Scary!!!

This was the picture taken when a Boeing jet of Germania airlines was taking off. This flight was on its way to Kosovo from Dusseldorf airport with 80 on board. Then this happened, that a flock of around 200 birds came straight into the path of the airplane and guess what happened. Yesterday every where in the news channels to newpapers to facebook and twitter, everyone was buzzing about the new Google Wave and its 100,000 invites but what exactly is Google wave. I will definitely not tell you what it is all about but can guide you to someone with more knowledge about it or someone who got hands-on this one.

Actually I was one of those early birds who asked Google for the new Google Wave access but haven't yet received any invite from them. It's ok I am not upset or something like that, by the way who cares for one............ Baaaaahhhhhhhhhhh I want an invite!!! BAAhhhh I want an invite, I am desperate, the world is gonna end....

Ok seriously in the words of Mashable, Google Wave is a real-time communication platform, which combines the aspects of e-mail, instant messaging, social networking, web chat, project management and wikis. Waves can be embedded on any blog or website. Just like a facebook application, developers can build their own apps within the waves.

Google Wave is an open source application which means it will be easily innovated and can be adopted by developers with less trouble. You don't need to upload a file or attach it, you can just drag and drop the files so that everyone else can access it. That's so easy.

Right now I don't have access to one account of Google Wave, hence can't divulge much information about it to you. But once I get access to it, I will give maximum information about it. Keep cool, you will get access pretty soon as well....

Just now saw in LifeHacker that Google Wave has started rolling out invites to some of those 100,000 lucky guys. They have stated in their blog that guys from Australia are the first to receive the invites as it is 11 am in Oz. This is because, they claim that the Wave team is based in Sydney, Australia and hence they are the first guys to receive the Wave invitations.

If you receive one of those 100,000 invites then you will be lucky enough to score 8 extra invitations of your own which Google Wave team will review and invite them as well. Right now they will be inviting those 100,000 first and in the coming days they will be inviting those extra 8 guys whom you will invite in due course of time. Yesterday there was a powerful earthquake that shook the seas near Samoa and American Samoa and just not that it acted as a catalyst in forming a Tsunami that swept water into these areas. Tsunami as you all know is really deadly and it has flattened many villages in Samoa and American Samoa. The above pic shows how deadly the Tsunami was and how effected the people are there. Why should anyone blog? Is blogging a fashion, is this a trend, is blogging done just to impress your girlfriend or to make others around you look stupid. None of the above is my answer. Why I started blogging? I clearly don't remember but I surely can say that it was my evergrowing curiosity to know what's new. This curiosity of mine has pushed me, rather dragged me into this trade.

Firstly, it was like a hobby for me to write some stupid things in my blog, then entered the new softwares that I used. I even blogged about politics, sports and stuff like that. But in the initial days, I did not take it seriously. But once my audience increased I started blogging on different issues and most of the time the words in the blog came from my heart rather than my mind. But I never thought this to be a fashion, trend or something like that. That's the main reason that I did not tell to anyone about my blog unless asked by them. A very few people know about my blog till date. But let me tell you, who ever knew my blog, they know one thing that there is no unrelevant hatred, questionable voilence, unreasonable use of filthy language.

But these days when I visit some blogs, they are either solely maintained for money or just as a fashion statement. I rarely find genuine blogs except for a few, where the blogger keeps his heart out when he writes something and you can very rarely find an objection in the blogs. But actually why should we blog?

Blogging brings out the inner self in you. You might want to show your anger on some issue, you might want to write what you like about a movie, or you might want to show your feelings on some issue but can't say that publicly. Here is a solution, the blogs help you vent out your anger, spread your love and show your feelings to the entire world. One final word, blog more not to hog the limelight but to flag off your inner feelings and race towards the eternal truth "Living Life King-Size"...

Apple Tablet - New Details emerge amidst rumors of non-existence....

There were so many rumors regarding the ipod Touch with a cam in it but it turned out that they all are just rumors. And now there are rumors that are going around about the Tablet from Apple. Previously mentioned that it will be coming out in the first quarter of 2010 and the rumors are now pretty confident that it is going to be at least announced in that time frame. These rumors come into light just days after details emerge about the Tablet PC "Courier" from Microsoft.

New details about the Tablet from Apple say that::

* Apple has created 3 different variants of the Tablet PC.
* It runs on Apple Iphone OS
* They have given out details that it looks exactly like Iphone 3G and it sure does have a curvy back, just like the Iphone 3G.
* It will come in two models, one with the 3G enabled and the other without the 3g technology in it, which means there will be a difference in price as well.
* Screen resolution will be something close to 5X or 6X compared to the screen resolution of the present iphones and ipod touchs'.
* It is a direct competition to netbooks.
* It will most probably be announced by Apple on or before January 19, 2010.

When I started using the computer basically I never used the computer, I just used to open the Internet Explorer 6 and access my mail or some *&^%^&%$#^ websites., you know what I mean. Back then, when you don't want others to know what you have accessed through the IE, you just had one option to delete all the cookies and history from the browser. I just did that but was always worried what these cookies are???

Cookies are like a tag placed on your computer by the websites that you visit. It is more like a file that stores information about the site, the pages that you visited on the site and the information that you stored on the site like usernames, passwords and things like that. When you visit the same site again and if your cookies are still intact, then the website recognizes you and grants you access instantly.

These cookies fall into two types:: Temporary cookies and permanent cookies. Temporary cookies are cleared off as soon as you close the browser or a session but permanent cookies are stored permanently on your computer hard drive and even if you delete them will be recreated again as soon as you access the website.

You now have the option to allow or disallow cookies at will and you can play around with them. But having cookies disabled will greatly decrease your access speed on a website and just not that you have to re-enter any kind of information you gave in previously. Now you know what a Computer cookie is all about...

Yes you heard it right, the soft drink gaint has declared that it is going to stop advertising with an immediate effect. Don't know why they suddenly took this drastic decision but now they definitely are not going to advertise any more. Pepsi was involved in making of some of the greatest advertising videos ever pictured. Michael Jackson, Britney Spears were some among the hundreds of celebrities who have campaigned for Pepsi.

Now there is an interesting twist to the tale. Pepsi is known to invest around $1.3 billion budget yearly just for advertising and now this money is going to go as fat check bonuses to its lowly paid employees and also into the umpteen number of charitable trusts that are spread around the world. Previously I discussed here in my blog about the beta version of Microsoft Security Essentials, the new, free version of anti-virus from Microsoft. Today it has left its beta tag behind and is now ready for download and its free.

The key features of this release include a previously known bug fix in the beta version and it is bundled with comprehensive malware protection, simple download, automatic updates and they claim that it is easy to use. Microsoft claims that this anti-virus runs silently in the background and doesn't eat up much of your resources.

The download size measures 8.61 MB and it is supposedly easy to install. If you are content with your anti-virus that you are using now, then stay cool with it, don't even think about migrating to Security Essentials but if you wanna try this new toy, then you can go ahead. But I warn you, it is still in its baby steps so be careful.

Tips to get the maximum out of your "Cell phone Camera"

I am one of those guys who is really lazy to buy a decent camera and still strive on the in-built camera of my cell-phone. And seriously I don't feel like I need a camera until it gets dark or when I am traveling. I use the 3 odd MegaPixel camera built into my LG incite cell phone most of the times for my photography.

The pictures of the mushrooms that I took are taken with the little camera at the back of my cell-phone. That means I rely a lot on my cell camera and definitely I am in a better position to advice about the do's and dont's when you are using a cell-phone camera for your photographic needs. Here are a few of them::

* Make sure that the object of interest is well-lit.
The light factor plays a big difference when you are photographing using a little lens like that of your camera phone. You need to make sure that the object that you want to capture is in a perfect position for you to capture the maximum amount of light. This is a must to avoid dull pics.

* Take multiple shots.
If you don't need to care about your phone memory that supports your photos, then my advice is to take as many photos as you can. Later on you can chose between the best and the better ones of the lot. That way you can save the best ones and boast of them later on.

* Clean your lens often.
This is one tip that most users find hard to follow just out of laziness but this is really good tip. Just make sure that you clean the lens once in a while, may not be daily. This will help you get some good photos without that blurry layers on top.

* Use the highest resolution available.
Before I knew about this tip I used to mostly rely on the resoultion of 640X480 or 1600X1200 for my photos, but when I came to know about the effect of resolution, I started experimenting and found out that taking the photos in the maximum available resolution helps you capture more detail and helps you later when you want to edit them out.

* Never use Digital Zoom
If you want to have your photos of good quality, my advice is never use the in-built digital zoom. Optical zoom is preferable if available but digital zoom does a lot of bad to your photos by decreasing the quality of photos.

* Try to stay still.
Right now and according to my knowledge, there are very less number of phones that support Image Stabilized cameras, which means you need to stay as still as possible to get the best pictures, otherwise you will end up with some blurry pics.

* Stay near the subject.
If possible try and stay near the subject of interest and try to take your pictures in more like a profile model than in panaromic way.

- These are a few of the tips that I came to know while I have been capturing pictures on my mobile phone. Thought to share with you. Will be back with more interesting articles. Till then stay cool and stay free...

There have been millions of proofs that point towards the activities of humans that have been the chief causes for carbon dioxide emissions that in turn are leading to Global Warming.

These green house gases are forming a dangerous layer around our mother earth and are acting like a greenhouse and absorbing lots of suns heat and creating a trap for all the heat and not allowing it to escape away from earth. This phenomenon is called Green house effect.

Basically the 3G network derives its name from being the third generation of mobile networking and telecommunications. 3G networks are targeted towards the cell-phone technologies and data transfers and internet access. These are the nice little mushrooms in front of our house. What amazed me is the growth rate of these little fellas. They were so small early in the morning that they were the size of a blade of grass in the lawn. But later in the day, they grew so huge that I wanted to have them for my lunch.

I know that some of you hate them but really guys don't simply hate them, they taste really good and if they are growing around in your lawn, they will enhance the look but not disturb anyone. Try it out once...

World's longest bridge - 22 km long...

Qatar-Bahrain causeway is going to feature the world's longest bridge ever built and it is going to connect the west coast of Qatar to the east coast of Bahrain. It is going to measure a whopping 22km which is almost equal to 13 miles and this project is going to go ahead in 2010. It is going to be built over a period of four-and-a-half years period.

Bahrain and Qatar have allocated a budget of $500 million just to start the project and it is definitely going to cross that limit for sure. It will be equipped with a 13 metre wide railroad bridge and the travel time between Qatar and Bahrain is going to be reduced to a mere 30 minutes from the present travel time of 4 and a half hours.

Here are a few tips from my little mind box to protect your online passwords from being hacked and to generate a tough password that secures your privacy::::

* Never use the same password for all your online accounts.
* Keep changing the passwords as frequently as possible. May be weekly or monthly, but changing passwords is a hugely suggested technique of staying safe online. A tip-off here is that, you can just simply interchange a set of passwords between your different accounts and in that way you don't need to remember a lot of passwords.
* Avoid saving passwords on the computers you use unless it is a personal computer that none other than you use. Never never ever check the "remember me" button.
* Never use passwords that have the characters in some kind of a sequence like, 123 or xyz or something else like them.
* Never use the common passwords like 123456, "password", your name, or your close members names, try something innovative yet easily remember-able.
* Always use a mix of Caps, small letters and numbers in your passwords. This technique increases your password's strength 10-fold.

This kid is gonna grow into a monster I guess. This kid is weighing aroung 19.2 lbs at his birth time and the funny part is that he is from Indonesia, where the average weight and height are 53.54 kg and 5' 4". This is too heavy for that country and not just that country. This kid might be the hugest kid ever born till date(of course not confirmed yet). He was named Muhammad Akbar Risuddin, here Akbar means 'big' in Indonesian local language. I don't know what it exactly is.

What's cloud computing? Trying to throw some light on it...

Ever wondered what the heck is Cloud Computing? Cloud computing refers to the use of Internet ("cloud") based computer technology for a variety of services. It is a style of computing in which dynamically scalable and often virtualised resources are provided as a service over the Internet. Users need not have knowledge of, expertise in, or control over the technology infrastructure "in the cloud" that supports them.

The concept incorporates software as a service (SaaS), Web 2.0 and other recent, well-known technology trends, in which the common theme is reliance on the Internet for satisfying the computing needs of the users. Often-quoted examples are Salesforce.com and Google Apps which provide common business applications online that are accessed from a web browser, while the software and data are stored on the servers.

The cloud is a metaphor for the Internet, based on how it is depicted in computer network diagrams, and is an abstraction for the complex infrastructure it conceals. Right now not many regular users of internet are aware about this cloud computing but as early as the second half of 2010 will see tremendous growth of public involvement in cloud computing.

Google and Microsoft are right now involved in an head-on collision based on cloud computing but the clear leader in this market as of now is surprisingly Amazon with its heavy user base and innovative strategies. Should wait and see what's cooking between these guys and how we are gonna benefit by these cloud wars.

Picasa 3.5 released, now supports facial recognition and name tags....

I am one of those power users of Picasa and love its simple yet robust technology. I have been using it over years now and have become a slave of it. Of course I don't want you to become a slave but just wanted to throw some light on the newest version of Picasa 3.5 from Google.

Picasa is a Google's free desktop photo organizer/editor/uploader/viewer and everything else. It is easy to install and once configured will be the best photo organizing software. They have released this new 3.5 version of Picasa and guess what it supports facial recognition and you can give name tags to the persons in photos.

Here is a site opensky, where you can just simply enter how many puzzles you want to download(maximum 50 at one go, as of now), then how many puzzles you want in a page, and just click go, in a second a PDF will be generated and you can download it to your computer. Also there are 4 different levels of the game, namely, easy, medium, hard and very hard. Iphone users get ready... AT&T rolls out MMS...

After umpteen requests from the guys at Apple and millions of wishes from the Iphone users, AT&T has agreed to give MMS service for iphone but still they kept it under wraps for a long time. Iphone 3Gs was released a few months ago, yes its already end of september and there was no sign of MMS service from AT&T.

But the wait is over now and all the Iphone users can rejoice now as AT&T is rolling out MMS support for all the users today, Friday, Sep 25th, 2009. They are going to roll it out in full strength sometime around the noon Pacific time and this can happen even earlier as well. You will definitely need to apply new carrier settings to get it up and running. These new settings can be accessed through your itunes as you usually do.

Firefox 4 theme - looks like glossy look is gonna take over the world!!!

Firefox 4 theme is out and its more like a glass bottle sticker rolled out for our viewing. There are lots of changes to the User Interface as well. Of course this is just a mock up which might be rolled out as early as Firefox 3.7 as well but this definitely is looking cool. There is a tools button on the top right corner and the home button and a gmail quick launch button are added to the tab bar which is now the top most bar in Firefox.

Several major additions and changes are being discussed to the UI for 4.0. Keep in mind these changes are farther out and therefore more in flux than ideas for 3.7.

Merging the LocationBar and SearchBar
Merging stop/refresh/go into one button
Adding a Tab-on-Top Option
Introduction of App Tabs
Expanded Home Tab Functionality
Hiding Bookmarks Bar
Profile Stuff
Removal of Status Bar

Gmail outage for few users... can't access contacts and stuff!!!

I am one of those few users who are facing troubles with the outage of Gmail. Actually for me this isn't an outage but I can't access my contacts in Gmail. It reads out Gmail is temporarily unable to access your contacts. You may experience issues while this persists. This is crazy but still I know these things happen a lot.Google is definitely aware of this situation as it shows in its apps dashboard webpage. This thing has started around 10:30 AM EST and is still not rectified. I even tweeted about it and none were ready to accept that Gmail is facing problems.

If you want to know what is going on right now, then head over to the Google Apps status dashboard page provided by Google where they update every hour or so about the status of all their apps.

Is this the Queen of Britain or the President of America or a drug lord from some God-forbidden land.

This lady in question is Julia Roberts, the highest paid actress till date and this is all being done for her shoot of a movie titled,"Eat, Pray, Love". This movie is being extensively shot in India where Julia is shooting her part in an Ashram - a holy place. Is she worth all that protection and security when the common man is being burnt alive, bombed, shot, raped, hijacked, hit, kidnapped and what not, I leave this question to the thoughtful minds of you guys, who I believe are more intelligent and clever than me.

Courier is the new tablet PC that is cooking in Microsoft compound. It was hidden under wraps until yesterday but not anymore. Till now there are rumors about the Apple tablet and now Microsoft's Courier takes over from here on.

Courier is a dual screen tablet PC from Microsoft with multi-touch interface. I am very much thrilled watching the video of this tablet in action. But definitely it has got a tough user interface which will take some time to get into our minds. The dual 7-inch screens are designed for writing, flicking and doing what not. It also sports a camera for those lens hungry guys.

Operating Systems - The truth for the actual users...

The graph above shows what exactly the three major operating systems are catering to the general public or actually the end users. Windows is customizable and user friendly but not stable and Mac OS is other way round with lot of stability but not customizable and a bit low on the customizable side. Linux which I personally love, is good with stability and customizability and definitely is being made user friendly with its version of Ubuntu OS. The graph above is true to the core and definitely will not hurt anyone's feelings for good.
